Frequently Asked Questions
Many customers have the same questions, so for your convenience, we’ve posted the answers to the most frequently-asked here.
No, we are a private company that provides high-speed Internet service on the Grant County PUD fiber-optic network.
Here is a video explaining how we coordinate with the PUD’s Fiber department to connect our customers to the rest of the world.
If you need to reach the PUD, their customer service phone number is 509-766-2505.
We offer high-speed fiber-optic Internet service with speeds up to 1 gbps to Moses Lake, Ephrata, Soap Lake, Quincy, Royal City, Wilson Creek, Warden, Mattawa, and anywhere else in Grant County where the Grant PUD has established their fiber-optic network.
No, we don’t have any contracts. All of our service is provided on a month-by-month basis, and you can cancel at any time.
We do not have any data caps or limits on our service.
Our fiber-optic Internet service is available wherever the PUD fiber network is available. This covers the majority of Grant County. To determine whether your exact location has fiber-optic Internet available, input your address ON THIS MAP or call our office at 509-766-1345.
If you are in an area that has access to the Grant PUD fiber-optic network, you will need a fiber gateway box installed on your building, wiring into the building for both service and power, and a standard Wifi router.
The fiber-optic gateway box is installed on the exterior of your building, usually near the Grant PUD power meter. This serves as a termination point for the fiber optic line. From the gateway box, two wires will run into your building, one connecting to a standard 110v power outlet and the other to your router.
There are five types of lights in the most common fiber gateway:
PWR – Does the gateway have power? If not, check the power supply. It may be unplugged, or the breaker or GFI switch may be tripped.
SYS – This light indicates whether the gateway software is running. If this light is off, let us know, and we will notify the PUD so they can repair it.
WAN – This light tells us whether your gateway is connected to the PUD fiber network. If this light is off, let us know. There may be a failure in the gateway or a broken fiber line.
VOIP – This light is used with VOIP telephone systems. We do not use it.
LAN ports – These are the numbered ports where your ethernet cable connects. Lights here indicate whether a device is connected.
In 2024, PUD started installing DZS model gateways. The lights in these gateways are similar but located in different places.
PWR – The power light on the DZS model gateway is that green light on the far left side.
SYS – In the DZS gateway, this light is usually off, which is normal.
Fiber WAN – Same as the prior gateway model, this light tells us whether your gateway is connected to the PUD fiber network. If this light is off, let us know. There may be a failure in the gateway or a broken fiber line.
We are a small, family-owned Internet service provider, so we tend to work with customers on a more personal basis than a larger company might. We do not use a phone system. We do not require contracts. Our goal is to make the process of connecting to and using the Internet as simple and painless as possible.
To sign up for our high-speed fiber-optic Internet service, call our office at 509-766-1345, and we can take your information over the phone. You can also fill out THIS FORM, and we will contact you to set up the account.
Fiber-optic Internet service does not use a modem, which is the standard for services such as cable Internet and DSL. For fiber, the service wire running into your house is a standard ethernet wire, which will connect directly to the WAN or Internet port on a router.
We do. We offer a discounted rate of $39.95 per month for the first three months for new customers signing up for our 100 mbps fiber-optic Internet service. After the introductory period ends, you will be billed our standard rate of $52.95 per month.
We have three different tiers of service. Our 100 mbps connection, which is fast enough for most people, is $39.95 per month for the first three months, then $52.95 thereafter. Our 250 mbps connection is $64.95 per month, and our 1 gbps connection is $74.95 per month. Those are your final rates. We do not add any additional taxes or surcharges unless you purchase additional services, such as a static IP address, additional fiber-optic gateway ports, etc.
Our billing is done automatically using VISA or Mastercard. When you sign up for service, we bill you the prorated remainder of the first month up front, and then automatically on the first of each month afterward. You can also pay your bill using PAYPAL or CREDIT CARD.
In most cases, Internet interruptions are the result of a locked-up Wifi router. DO NOT HIT THE RESET BUTTON ON YOUR ROUTER. THIS WILL ERASE THE SETTINGS AND REQUIRE YOU TO BRING THE ROUTER TO OUR OFFICE FOR SETUP.
To reboot your router, unplug the power from it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and wait a few moments for it to reboot. If you continue to have problems, call our office at 509-766-1345, and we will help you.
We do not offer on-call technical support after hours. If you have a problem when our office is closed, please leave a voicemail. We check them periodically even when the office is closed, and we will respond when we see your message.
The Great Eagles were far more than a convenient means of transportation. They were servants of Manwë Súlimo, leader of the Valar, and tasked with watching over Middle Earth. In essence, you could nearly consider them gods in their own right. As large and powerful as they were, they would have made the fellowship’s quest obvious and drawn Sauron’s and the Nazgûl’s full attention. They were also susceptible to the corrupting influence of the One Ring. Following the fall of Sauron and the destruction of the One Ring, Gwaihir the Windlord carried Frodo and Sam away from Mount Doom as final payment to Gandalf, who had saved his life years before.
